Online Application for Utility Services
To establish service a few guidelines should be followed:Complete Service Establishment Form (at the Town Hall).When establishing service please bring official picture identification. If you are a property owner, please bring documentation of ownership (i.e. statement of sale). There will be NO deposit required for home owners, excluding mobile home owners. If you are renting, please bring picture ID, a copy of your lease and a $175 refundable deposit is required.
Garbage service through Atlantic Waste is included with all water/sewer service establishments.
If a deposit is required, it is payable by check, cash, or Money Order ONLY. Service will not begin until payment is received. Should payment be declined by the customer's financial institution, a $35.00 returned check fee plus $25.00 reconnect fee will be applied and service will be interrupted until payment is confirmed.
Refund Policy: All refund requests must be submitted directly to the Utility Billing Department at Town Hall.

This 24/7 drop off location is located in the parking lot on the corner of Russell St. and Artillery Ave near the Senior Center.
Services: Drop off Bins for composting.
The Chatham County Resource Conservation Education Center (CCRCEC) maintains information on its website to help citizens of the County, including Town of Thunderbolt residents, to dispose of hazardous and nonhazardous household waste properly. The website includes a listing of facilities and businesses that will accept waste oil, hard to recycle materials, toxic wastes, and recyclables from the public.
